TidyTrailers.com Disposal Trailer Rental Faq’s
Thank you for choosing TidyTrailers.com for your Disposal & Recycling needs. We have created the following Trailer Rental Facts to help our customers maximize the use of the trailer and eliminate unnecessary surcharges or additional fees. We hope these facts will answer any questions you may have during the rental period, however if you have a concern or question that is not covered by these facts please contact us or call TidyTrailers at 604-329-3796 and a staff member will be happy to answer any other questions.
- Tidytrailers pre-authorizes the customer’s credit card for $350 prior to delivery. While in most cases the after tax cost of a TidyTrailer will not reach that amount, our pre-auth is to ensure funds are available for payment of a 750kg trailer. This amount covers 93% of all trailers on average. We do not accept cash as payment.
- TidyTrailers is not responsible for damage from a trailer left on driveways, gardens or lawns. If you are concerned that the trailer will damage your property, have the trailer placed where damage is not a concern.
- Consider ordering the trailer for the day before you need it. TidyTrailers will try to accommodate delivery requests, but we operate on a first come first serve basis. TidyTrailers is not responsible for any costs because of missing our delivery window.
- Our delivery drivers will make every attempt to place the trailer where it is convenient for the customer. However, safety, public vehicle access, and space requirements will ultimately determine trailer placement.
- Customers are responsible for obtaining street use permits. Some municipalities require a permit to leave a trailer on the street, check with your local municipality for rules and regulations. Any bylaw fines will be charged back to the customer.
- The $249 rental fee includes delivery, removal, and 48 hour rental of one (1) trailer. Each additional trailer during the first 48 hours is another $249. Dump fees are extra. The $249 rental applies to any size of trailer.
- TidyTrailers does not automatically dispatch to pick up the trailer at the end of the rental period. The customer must phone to have the trailer picked up. Extra rental charges apply in excess of 48 hours. Rental charges are $30 for the rest of the first week and a maximum of $45 per additional week.
- All drywall trailers must be tested free of asbestos, documentation must be emailed to TidyTrailers prior to pick-up of the trailer. Mixed loads of garbage and drywall are subject to a $500 sorting fee, $250 testing fee, and disposal fees at $600 per tonne. Please phone the office if you are disposing of drywall.
- TidyTrailers will make every effort to accommodate customer requests to have the trailer picked up. TidyTrailers does not schedule trailer pick-ups. Generally, trailers are removed the same or next day but can take up to 3 days depending on the customer’s location. Do not phone for pick-up until the trailer is ready and finished. If TidyTrailers attends to pick-up and the trailer is not ready the customer will be charged $100 to return. Missed pick-ups because of vehicles or equipment blocking the trailer are subject to $100 return fee as well.
- Trailers can be loaded higher than the sides, however we must be able to secure the load and tarp it. Put smaller items in the bottom of the trailer and larger items on top. Bigger items like couches and mattresses are easier to secure. If you have any questions on best practices for loading the trailer, call our office for help.
- Do not put restricted or banned materials in the trailer, anything that is flammable, poisonous, or hazardous should not be put in the trailer. A full list of banned items is available on our web site at www.tidytrailers.com. A 100% dump fee surcharge will be applied to bins or trailers containing banned items.
- Our trailers are not water tight. If it rains your garbage will get wet. It will probably add a little to the weight but unless you fill the trailer with sponges it probably won’t cost you much more than a few dollars extra. When we pick the trailer up most of the water should drain out the back end. We have taken our wet weather into account and we still believe we offer a better value than most disposal companies.
- Once we have picked up and dumped your trailer, determined the weight and dump fee, we will process the cost on your credit card. Once payment is processed a detailed receipt will follow by email within a couple of days.
Thank you again for choosing TidyTrailers
